The Bitter Liberals and Oil Paint

We appreciate people who love our art (music, that is; you, that is), and we also appreciate fellow artists who create visual art. We do what we can to cross pollinate with the visual arts whenever possible—bringing you original visual art with all of our musical shows.

Take, for example, our go to band artist April Claggett who creates our posters and CD covers with some regularity. April’s latest poster design had us stymied, interested, and talking amongst ourselves. “We love it! But we’re not really sure why,” was Allen’s perfectly expressed sentiment. Thanks April. We imagine you will agree.

For the upcoming Civil War show on May 22nd, we asked our good friend (and fellow Clarke County denizen) Winslow McCagg to exhibit his series of Civil War paintings during the show. We think this work is as stunning as it is fitting.

Come see these pictures live in Aldie on 5/22. Please note that seating is limited, so we recommend that you call the box office for seats now if you have not already done so (540) 687-6681.

Of course, we included one of these paintings on the poster for the Civil War show as well.
